I hope we dont have a letdown tonight with a back to back. Indiana played last night as well, and their essentially out of playoff contention.

I hope the arena is soldout tonight, or close.

We are now in 9th place, one game behind the Bulls. Not only do we need to move up, but we need to maintain our position once we get there. And that will not be easy.

Just read that the Bulls play the Lakers tonight. So, the Bulls lose and the Cats beat Indiana and then...............do we move into 8th just like that?

Words cannot describe my disappointment. I understand that the guys may have been tired, but to totally give up is unacceptable.

More Information

Charlotte Bobcats managing partner Michael Jordan skipped last night's game against the Indiana Pacers to watch his son play high-school ball.
Whatever Jordan saw up in Illinois had to top this.
The Bobcat didn't guard, couldn’t shoot, and did severe damage to their playoff chances in a perplexing 108-83 home loss to the Indiana Pacers.
They heard boos. They deserved those boos, after shooting 3-of-19 in the third quarter to fall behind by as much as 34 in the second half. They haven't played this badly since the fall, when coach Larry Brown speculated they could threaten the Philadelphia 76ers for the NBA-record worst season.
While 31-39 is a long way from the worst record in league history, this was rattling. They shot 42 percent from the field and 48 percent from the foul line.
Only two Bobcats -- Boris Diaw (15 points) and Juwan Howard (10) – reached double figures. They let Pacers guard Jarrett Jack, who’s never been confused with an All-Star, go off for 31 points on 13-of-14 shooting.
And they committed 19 turnovers, leading to 31 Pacers points.
Everything they did ended with a "hud." Shooting guard Raja Bell might have described the dysfunction best, saying they kept passing the ball to each other with no real plan of action.
"Asking everyone to go one-on-one," Bell said. "You can't do that unless you're Kobe" Bryant.
No Bobcat was Bryant Saturday. Point guards Raymond Felton and D.J. Augustin combined for 3-of-18 shooting. Gerald Wallace, one night after scoring 30 against the Toronto Raptors, shot 1-of-4. He had more fouls (four) than points (three).
It was a strange and costly night to hit bottom, since the Bobcats had closed to a game behind the Chicago Bulls in the chase for the final playoff spot. Players talked often in a three-game winning streak about the urgency they felt.
Their actions over the last three quarters said otherwise.
"We didn't get stops, we didn't take possession seriously, and everything was a jump shot," said coach Larry Brown. "So there you go."
The Pacers, barely alive for the post-season, pulled to two games back of the Bobcats in the win column. Indiana coach Jim O’Brien said it would take "a complete flop by the teams ahead of us" to keep them in it.
Flop was precisely what the Bobcats performed Saturday.
