Nope. I mean, don't get me wrong he was a nice 20+ ppg scorer but... He just doesn't mesh with Vc plain and simple... And I'd take 20-6-5 over 22 and no D... We actually look way better w/o him imo..
He is garbage... no other way i can explain it... Steps out of bounds at least once a game, which is frustrating as hell. He doesnt take the open shot most of the time, it is annoying... his D isnt great...I guess we are all so used to a 20ppg scorer we arent really used to a player like simmons. I mean it is kinda sad when a player off the bench produces more than you(and you play more mins)

wow, harsh. i thought he looked very active all around and was a real nice 3pt threat last game.
then again i get to see so few nets games clearly. usually the players look like pixellated blobs over justintv or whatever...
Simmons has potential YI's a P*SSY. Its thats simple!
If i were in charge i would have tried to pickup a guy like Al Harrington
then you have
PG Harris
SG Vince Carter
SF AL Harrington
PF WILLIAMS or Boone
C LOPEZ
No thats a squad right there
Sean Williams is 6'8" with a 7'0" wingspan. He simply is not big enough to play the 4 or the 5 long term. the 4 maybe if he had the passion and energy of a Jason maxiell or Paul Milsap. But he doesn't. he just wants to dunk, block a few shots , and call it quits.
He is NOT 6'11" as NBa draft reports make him out to be.
and yeah Al harrington would be a good player at the 3 for the Nets. the only issue is whether he could accept being a third banana behind Carter and Harris.

Well his shot has been getting better... In the beggining of the season they were all to strong.. that really wasn't a harsh statement I made.... It is sadly the truth.
Jarvis Hayes will miss Friday's game against the Raptors with a left hamstring injury.
He's likely to miss Saturday's game as well, so look for Bobby Simmons and Yi Jianlian to get a few more minutes for as long as Hayes is out.
I still hope we could snag G-Force from the cats he would fit perfectly !!! He would supply us with great defense and toughness that we so obviously need !!!
PG - Harris
SG - Carter
SF - G. Wallace
PF - Yi
C - Lopez
I could see us bieng 4th seed with that lineup
Then in 2010 if we get Lebron and Wallace can move to the 4 spot
Hello guys, i'm back... miss this forum! Glad the nets are doing good this season. Hope they continue to win more games and make the playoffs this year.
