Ship him to Chicago where all started.

He can teach Rose/Boozer the PnR or he can play at the starting 2 guard.

So if word gets out Deron was the cause of Sloan leaving how badly is he going to get boo'd at the next home game?
Idk, but if Deron really did want him gone, then he really has canceled out his positive impact by taking away one of Utah's biggest advantages. Really, the only reason Utah was even in the game last night was because of Sloan's coaching, getting Kirilenko so many good shots against Deng to get him going, getting them to play Carlos nearly perfectly.
I even get why Deron would be pissed at Sloan. Jefferson hasn't been part of the offense at all really because it seems he can't really figure out the offense, but even then it's just not worth it at all. It's one of the worst things that has happened to the Jazz in a long while.

    First Jeff Fisher
    and now Sloan
2 of the longest tenured head coaches gone in a close period of times.

To be fair, Sloan's got a pretty damn long track record of pissing off about every player he's ever encountered. It's a new breed now, new league, guys don't have to just grit and bear it anymore.

Maybe it's not the worst thing in the world.

new people in place... they don't recognize his time as the jazz coach or don't care about the past... just the future... which is ok, not saying they made the right move but at least they are looking forward..

wonder what the backlash if any will be with long time jazz fans... sloan is worshiped in SLC

Interesting, I knew Deron was growing disgruntled, didnt realize how strained his relationship with Sloan had grown. Things are starting to make more sense

    Damn!

Maybe he realize that he ain't going to win COY with the Jazz roster and with Deron leading the team.

I hope Jeff Van Gundy coach the Jazz after him

Sloan needed to go after the Jazz were swept in 08-09 by the Lakers.

Any other franchise wouldve fired him after a few years of showing no improvement. He was kept onboard out of loyalty, but as you can see loyalty doesnt mean that much in sports when you arent producing results.

Its a great move and shows that the Jazz Organization is finally wanting to start a new era and achieve something they couldnt for the last 23 years with Sloan.

Dont get me wrong Sloan is one of the greatest coaches of all time, but every coach loses something. Hence why there are so many coaching changes. Jerry Lost is after 07-08

The yahoo article isnt accurate at all.

Someone give me a link to an interview or article Quoting Deron Williams saying something about his teammates. He never threw any of them under the bus.

He was frustrated with Sloan being stubborn about the line up and not listening to anyone.

Jerry has always been a "my way or the highway" type of guy.

Williams was frustrated with the Lack of the Change. He wants to win and he knows the way its been going the past 6 years he has been playing for the Jazz that the old way wasnt working.

Deron stood up for a team he wants to succeed.

With Ty Corbin and Jeff Hornecek (possibly) coaching this team, i expect this team to be young and play loose. You could tell easily that new players (al jefferson, raja bell, elson) were more worried about offensive rotations/cuts then going out there and playing basketball.

Williams reported problems with Sloan (He's unwilling to listen to other people or make changes to the way he does things) do seem pretty valid.
