Posey left about 3.3 mill on the table to leave Boston, anyone offering 5 mill would nab him. The guys been on two NBA champion teams in his short career allready. Celtics proved this year that defence wins championships, not offence. Phoenix Golden State and Denver prove the latter.
To get a veteran like Posey who has good D and shooting would be nicer than a younger Green. although, Green might be able to do well with smitch and bosh showing him some stuff, never know...
There must be a several reason teams gave up on Green. Maybe his attitude, lack of desire to improve, etc.?
At least from what I saw here is a guy that is a high flyer but he settles for the outside shot and only goes into the paint when no one is there. It is one thing to dunk on guys in high school or summer league but another against big guys in the NBA. I think he is afraid of contact.
And many in here complained for a couple of years why the Raptors did not pick Green over Graham. Graham has done nothing but at least he has stuck around.
Anyways his agent stated that the league will be surprised because there is a new Gerald Green. Well we will find out next season how much he has changed.
And Posey have had several injuries, and after wining 2 titles i think is looking just for money. Actually is a player overrated.
I say with Moon and use the money in a Big body for the paint. In case Oneal o Bosh will be injured for some games.
And I will look for another defenside stopper un the NBADL, like Moon. A good defensive stopper, it doesn't matter about his shot. Bruce bowen have work in his shot a lot. Before in wasn't so good 3 pointer, even today being alone all the time, it could be better.
