Worst NBA Contract this year
I'll have to go with Mozgov.
I don't think he'll get this many minutes, especially if Ingram or Deng play power forward.
Deng is a great stretch forward.
Ingram might play some minutes there if he gains strength,
Randle is their piece for the future.
64 Million to Mozgov..? I dunno. If he plays, and plays like he did in 2015, then awesome, good pickup. But I think he won't.
Also, honorble mention
Evan turner for 18 million a year?
After you just won the bid for Crabbe? Who also gets paid 18 mill a year?
Highest payroll in the league and for what? (119 Million.)
For one all star? (D-lil hopefully won't be snubbed this year.)

Re: Worst Contract this year
What makes Mozgov's contract so much worst is when you compare him to what other centers got this offseason...Ezeli signed a 2yr/16m deal, Marjanovic 3yrs/21m contract, Zeller 2yr/16m.
Much cheaper alternatives and all 3 are much younger, have more upside. Then there is Biyombo, who albeit was overpaid as well by Orlando (4yrs/72m) but I'd rather overpay a 24 year old who is a defensive anchor than the 29 year old Russian giant who is dealing with injury problems (and just got injured again, during the Olympics).

Re: Worst Contract this year
everyone's gonna say mozgov understandably. I think solomon hill's deal was pretty bad too. 4 yrs/48 for a guy who didn't do much last year. Then again he is young and the pelicans need guys but at least mozgov has shown he can have a good yearl.

Yeah.
What makes it worse is the 18 million they gave to a much younger guy playing the same spot.

Mike Conley's contract will be the worst until the end of eternity.

Dwyane wade. He should be getting the league minimum.

Re: Worst NBA Contract this year
Gong with Chandler Parsons. The guy will never be more than a slightly above average player and he got a max deal.

Good college starter

Beal just annoys me.
I think durability is not valued enough in contracts.
I hope he makes us eat those words, because the east could use any powerhouse it could get, boy did the Wizards disappoint last season.
Also I think Parsons is a solid wing, great starter for any team without an all-star at Small forward. Worth the max? Nah. Is it that horrible of a deal? I don't think so.

Cap flexibility also allows for uneven trades, not just free agent signings.
