Default Piston Predictions

How far do YOU think the Pistons will go this year?

I think we will just make it to the finals and lose to either Phoenix or Dallas.

I will happily be proven wrong.......

As the past shows you can't really predict the playoffs. I can see anything from the Pistons losing in the second round to winning the championship.

I think it will be easier to answer this one after the trade deadline. Right now the Pistons are clearly the best team in the East. I am happy with the line up but we could certainly use a bit more depth. But the thing that hurts their chances the most would be if another decent team in the East makes a trade that makes them significantly better.

Yeah true, but that could go the other way and disrupt a teams flow and work in favour of our Pistons.

I will stand by my prediction.

I hope that it would disrupt things but only time will tell I guess. I would love to see Detroit in the Finals and I think they have as good of a chance as anybody. Offensively I think they are better than they were in their championship run. As far as the depth on the bench goes that is what scares me. Hopefully we can pull off a trade for Mo pete or Bonzi Wells to give us a spark off the bench.

I'd choose Mo Pete over Bonzi, more complete player in my view.
C-WEBB is getting it done though.

Still think we will go deep in the postseason? I have a bad feeling that it will be similar to last year, we will show up one day and Rip, Chanc, Tay wont be able to put water back into the ocean. Lack of consistent post play and easy points will kill us.

The East still looks pretty weak. Detroit has enough to get to the finals. I am not saying they are a lock. We all know what happened last year and this year their depth isn't much better. Again this year we are lacking a couple solid players off the bench. I would have loved to see Mo Pete or Bonzi Wells come in here before the trade deadline. I think they have a great shot of getting there, but I'm not convinced they can beat Dallas or Phoenix in 7. As far as the starting 5 goes, I would say they are as good as anybody's starting 5 in the league.
