"Who's better, or who will be better when kobe's career is finished?"
I hear that a lot, and i just want to get my opinion out on the net.
may i say that is not even a debate.
kobe is 8-47 in clutch attempts. 17% worst in nba history(last time i checked) for those attempted at least over 20. Kobe is also 39% shooter in the 4th quarter 5 minutes to go in the game(las year statistics)
i remember mj hit 23 clutch shots total in chicago .. i know he hit a couple more in his terrible days in washington . Jordan score 69 points against the cavs that were actually playoff contenders and considered a really good defensive team
on the other hand, kobe did score 81 points but it was against the raptors, a terrible team at the time, that played zone defense and was one of the worst teams in the nba that year. If you put MJ same spot, mj would have done the same.
And i hate the excuse of "kobe has no one on his team" .. yes he does, he just doesn't trust anyone. MJ trusted his teammates most of the time, and that's how you win games, with a team.. not with just one player..
Kobe doesn't realize the talent he has on the team simply because he doesnt pass the ball. Odom, Brown, Bynum, Walton, etc. they are good players.

I feel nausious just reading the question. its bad enough to see it in the NBA forum, but in the BULLS forum? Its sacriligious! MJ23
and let do one for Pippen who helped MJ become the GOAT and in return he became one of the 50 best player, jersey # retired, future HOF, etc so it works both ways

i know .. i just so sick of everyone freakin comparing those two... and especially mark jackson saying that Kobe will eventually be better than mj ... it really pissed me off soo much
Kobe is an amazing talent. He's arguably the best player in the league right now. But Jordan was the best player in the league when he was playing if not the best of all time. To compare them is a little offputting. Jordan carried his team and made the other players on it so much better. Kobe not so much. He actually makes his teammates frustrated and watch him as he dribbles and dribbles and dribbles until he takes a shot. Jordan is the G.O.A.T.
People never remember that the had Jordan not retired the first time the Bulls would have won eight straight championships. The Rockets never would have won two in a row. Jordan's numbers would be even more bloated had he not hung em up. Bryant wasn't even the best player on the Lakers Shaq was. Sorry but Kobe will never match up to Jordan ever!
