I think Rutgers would get beat too, but a lot of that perception, on all of our parts, is based on them being unranked and unthought-of in the preseason. If they go through this season undefeated they should get a shot at the Championship. Just more reason to get rid of the BCS.

Personally I think the Big East is weak. They only had eleven players drafted last year in the NFL draft (out of 224). There just isn't the talent there, and if Big East coaches really want to win they should take on Big Ten or SEC teams in non-conference games to sure up their chances.

Rutgers is not a national championship caliber squad

like I said before

If we have one undefeated team out of a power conference (Ohio State or Michigan) and then four or five one-loss teams and an undefeated Rutgers there is no fair way to determine which of those one loss teams (Florida/Auburn, Texas, USC, etc.) deserves the shot at the Championship. Let's apply the BCS to NCAA basketball. If they determined the 2006 Champ in hoops that way do you think the Gators would have won it? Because it's almost a lock that they wouldn't have been put there, not even being a #1 seed. It's just a bad system, and I don't get why anyone would defend it.

West Virginia and Louisville are NOT 2 of the most talented teams in the nation, so please put down the crack pipe.

THey wouldn't have to lose the bowls and they wouldn't have to add more than one or two games.

The current BCS bowls would just act as the Semi-finals, championship game, and maybe make the 4th one a 3rd place game.

Just make a 4 or 6 team playoff, really 4 would be enough. Rarely if ever could you justify a team outside the top 4 being worthy of a title shot.

1 and 4 play each other in the Orange Bowl, 2 and 3 play each other in the Fiesta Bowl, Rose Bowl for championship, and 3rd place game for Sugar. Or have no 3rd place game and let 5/6 play each other in the non playoff BCS bowl game, rotated out each year like they do now.

Besides Ohio States, no team in the nation has more weapons on offense. Explain to me why WV and Louisville are both ranked in the top10 in EVERYONE's preseason poll.

Rutger is clearly not as talented as WV or Louiville, therefore they weren't ranked anywhere near the top 10 in the preseason polls, which is why they are in a bad situation right now even if they do run the table. IMO, thats just really unfair. The BCS is a joke and the preseason poll is also a joke.

Why? Because you said so? I think everyone of those teams you mentioned are preseason top 15, they arell all very close in terms of talent.

If Rutgers is clearly behind Louisville in talent, how'd they beat them?

How does any underdog beat a superior team?

"Clearly" behind. That means it's not just an upset, it's a huge upset. If you really have a huge talent advantage you don't get beaten.

WTF? Why do they even play the games then? Why not just concede? You act like you have never seen an inferior team beat and obviously superior team. Its called Sports.

Did you watch the game? If Louisville wasn't being such dumbasses, they'd win that game. They jumped offsides when Rutgers miss that game winning feelgoal and gave them a second chance, and he got it the second time. Some teams *** up, some teams play harder and deserve to win.

WV, Louiville, and Rutgers are a joke. They have absolutely no defense, and have aplayed a bunch of joke teams with no defense too. The Big East is a joke, and none of those teams would make it out of the Big Ten, Big XII, or SEC.
