Default Rumors : MJ to go all out to bring Phil Jackson to Charlotte in a Pat Riley role

- Rumors are swirling that Michael Jordan is ready to offer Phil Jackson a piece of the Charlotte Bobcats and an executive position, giving Jackson total control of the basketball side. Jordan owns the Bobcats, who fired coach Mike Dunlap after one season.

----------

Reunite the championship dynasty in Charlotte, that franchise would get a lot of respect and prestige in the eyes of players with Phil on board in a Pat Riley role, to help build the team, steer the culture, even give coaching tips to the coaches.

MJ should be all over this.

If you could turn fatigue and injuries off, maybe.

Would be interesting to see Phil Jackson coach a non-superstar team.

Would also be interesting to see Jordan fire Jackson.

i'm sure jordan could score 15 - 20 points but how many would he be giving up???

same thing with kobe despite him still being able to put up 25-30 ppg he also gives up a lot more points than he did a few years ago.

Jordan could. The games would just have to be about 2 to 3 times as long, and he'd shoot about 20% from the field.

When was the last time His Airness play 5 on 5 competitive basketball? I think Pippen is the best 47 yrs.old and above former NBA Players.

If Phil is really interested, MJ must make this happen. Its the only chance that the franchise will move forward. MJ will bully any other GM/executive into doing what he wants. Obviously, that won't happen with PJax.

Who made that elbow-pass? Was it Jason Williams again?

This has all the ingredients for a disaster. Good coach does not equal good exec.
