I think this is a poor attempt to make people think that Shaq was better than Dream.

of course he is better, he's lead his team to 6 NBA finals and has 4 championships.

hakeem beat shaq in 95, big deal. remember that robert parrish OWNED hakeem in 1986 ?? i dont think you can say parrish was better than hakeem, lol.

if you are gonna use only one matchup to decide who is better then i can bring up 1999, when houston built their supose dream team (hakeem, barkley, pippen) and los angeles owned them.

No remind me, I don't remember Parrish owned Hakeem. Show me the stats please. I do remember that Hakeem against Bird, Mchale, Parish scored 40, 35, and 30 points the last three games of the 1986 Nba Finals. Wouldn't say it looks like anyone was owning Hakeem.
Show me the stats to back this claim up, if you even watched that series.

1999? You mean when hakeem was 36 years old and past his prime. I don't think he was even scoring above 20 then. That's like saying a better comparison is 2006 version of Shaq vs. 2006 version of Yao.

It is a big deal Hakeem beat Shaq in 1995. Hakeem took on Shaq at his peak. Remember Shaq averaged 29 points a game that year. It was his best year and wouldn't have another year like it until 2000. As much basketball as I've watched Shaq play, I would take that version over the 2000. He was quicker back then and better on defense.

Shaq didn't lead the heat....that was D-Wade. Shaq scored 5 points in one the the final games. Wouldn't call that leading. He is a great second option now to D-Wade. Hell, Riley would take him out in the 4rth quarter.

for what it's worth in the 1986 playoffs...
hakeem avg's. 26.9 pt's 2 asst's. 11.8 rebounds, 3.4 blks and 2 steal...
parish avg'd, 15 pt's, 1.4 asst's, 8.8 rebounds, 1.6 blks and .5 steals

hakeem was paid 882k per season while parrish made700k

for their careers,
hakeem 24.4 pts. 12.4 rebs, 3.5 blocks, 2.8 assists and 2.0 steals, PER of 23.6 in 18 seasons

parish 20.4 pts 12.9 rebs, 2.1 blocks, 1.9 assists and 1.1 steals, PER of 19.2 in 21 seasons

you're probably the onl˝y stupid enough to do so, thats like taking the ballhog jordan from 85-89 over the 91-93 version, is not even close, matureness can make up for speed just fine.

wade would have scored 20 points at 40% without shaq demanding double teams
