SRS refers to your airbag. I'm pretty sure mine has always been on. I took it to a Honda dealer awhile back and told me not to worry about it.

Reason I ask is because if your car is used, chances are it might have been in a collision that caused the airbags to go off. Haven't you heard of all the reports that collision repair shops simply stuffing the airbag compartments with various crap?

used airbags
plastic bags
cardboard
that liquid **** that turn to solid [dont know what It's called]

The airbag sensor might constantly be lit because there isn't one in there.

I've read many articles on it, seen many news stories on it. If your car is used, and if I were you, I would make a mechanic open your airbag compartments and check. You might have to spend some money, but it might save your life. And then I would talk to a lawyer if what you find out is bad news.

Yah in a Civic it is Airbags, well depends on you if u want to get them checked to see if they are good or u might need new ones.
Or if you bought it used it might not even have any.
