Default Josh Powell

Just in case you missed it, over the last couple of games, Josh Powell has played pretty well. He's filled in at center for the injured Chris Kaman, and he's posted double figures a few times. Anyone else as impressed as I am?

i have watched 3 clipper games since kaman went out and i have been impressed, expecially with his jumper. earlier in the season he was struggling, apparently he was just nervous because now he's money from 15 feet or so. he's also knocking down his freethrows and he had a sick one handed putback dunk in one of the games i watched. he gets a from me.

Here's another question: Powell's proved now that he can handle playing center. Paul Davis is out for the rest of the year and is a free agent at year's end. If Powell keeps owning, could Davis lose his spot in favor of another guard?

I hope it occurs. I like Paul and his game, but this isn't the right system for him. He needs to have a Brad Miller-esque role where he makes passes from the high post or low post. I can see him really thriving in Houston with Adelman who has coached some of the best passing big men in the league[Miller, Vlade(I think), Webber].

Powell's hustle and energy is just great, the guy doesn't give up. Early in the season, it was frustrating watching him play, but that was due to him not getting enough time on the court so he made some stupid mistakes.
