I posted this in the other thread yesterday:

J.J. Reddick is key, because he led the 76ers in scoring in the first round. The Celtics will try to limit him with their resident pitbull Marcus Smart.

However, it's interesting to note that Embiid had trouble scoring on Al Horford this season, hitting a mortal .357 of his shots. Horford was also effective on Ben Simmons, but he just cannot guard both of them at the same time, so it'll be up to Coach Stevens to figure this out.

If the Celtics slow down the pace, keep the score under 100, apply the necessary grit and their intangibles, they can hang in there and maybe steal the series. But the Sixers just have way too much talent. The absence of Irving and Hayward really hurts here.

Philadelphia in six.

^If The Celtics had Irving and Hayward they beat the Sixers in 5, maybe 6, lol. Their absence is what makes this a series.

Cant predict a C's win with all the injuries but it will be competitive.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter because the Celts ceased being serious contenders when Hayward got hurt; no one from the east is winning the title this year.

The Celtics' run starts next year. Philly can have the hype. C's should get the banner(s).
LOL at this. Maybe but the Sixers aren't hype and thinking Kyrie "I am injured all the time' Irving is going to be healthy is very wishful thinking. Nothing is ever guaranteed so we'll see on the Celtics run.

Aye, Irving would be able to close out the 76ers in the fourth quarter with clutch points, and Hayward could fill in any necessary spot (help run the offense, score in halfcourt, run the fast break, play great team defense). By next year the accelerated growth of Brown and Tatum will push the Celtics into 60 win territory.

But now that Brown is hobbled, and the Celtics don't have enough depth to counter the 76ers, they'll lose in 6. Would be 5 if their coach was anybody but Brad Stevens.

With Brown missing the first game I think that will ultimately cost the Celtics the first game and the round. Philly in 6

Talk about a toss-up series, should be a great one.

As for who I predict will win? I guess Celtics. Only b/c I had them going to ECF in my pre-playoff predictions, so I gotta stick w/ them lol.

Minimum 1 game

A fully healthy Celtics would beat Philly in 4-5 games. I expect Philly to win in 5 games maybe even a sweep depending on Browns availability.

If they were fully healthy all year, they would have had the 1-seed, and they would be playing Cleveland (they would beat them, too).

Healthy Celtics with the best coach in the game are real contenders capable of give GSW/Hou a run for their money and would beat 76ers in 5-6.

This Celtics are outmatched. 76ers in 5-6

In the future, mature healthy 76ers vs healthy Celtics should be an epic series.

I suspect this goes 6.

Stevens is a great coach, but Boston has no answer for Embiid. Boston's best chance to win this series is probably if they go to Philly up 2-0. If we can at least get the split, this doesn't go past 6.
