Default Why would OKC want the 1 seed?

    Houston or LA.... HMMM

How about a possible Memphis/Clippers series or the winner of a crippled Denver team or Golden ****ing State... HMMM

    OKC knows what they're doing.

They don't need home court to beat the Spurs. (who will probably be upset in the second round anyways)

OKC looking to get another easy trip to the finals. Back to back Western Conference champs.

Judging by you it seems like every OKC game is win/win situation.

    Just being real.

I mean, the winner inside me always wants them to get a win... because it satisfies me short term.. but after the game, reality starts to hit and I realize that this team is thinking long term.

Playoffs = only season that matters. End of discussion.

Spurs will tank for the 2nd seed, they don't want to play the Lakers in the first round.

Probably. They're head and shoulders better. They have more talent/experience/depth.

There's no argument. Winning the Western Conference is still an accomplishment, especially for a team that lost a top 15 player and who doesn't have one capable big. OKC is really an inspiration when you think about it.

I think sometimes people forget taking a team to the Finals is also an accomplishment.

So your goal is the silver medal?
Every team that calls itself a contender should have an aim of championship or bust. That's it. Same way for us Heat. Championship or bust.

Nice rationalizing but it was clear from the game today they were trying to win the game so it doesn't work. You'd have a better argument if they lost by 30.

Well, for one reason, this would give them home court advantage over the Spurs in the WCF, who they should worry more about than Houston or LA.

Im not saying anyone should be content with losing. Never. But taking your team to back to back Finals is quite impressive. Especially if they do it without Harden.

El O El. Scared of competition.

Too bad OKC will still get bounced before the WCF even as the 2nd seed.

    Home court is overrated.

Once you make it that far, it doesn't matter where you play.

Steal one in San Antonio and you're sitting pretty.
