In unexpected loss, Blazers get dropped by Jazz

It was the first game after the All-Star break. And it looked like it.

Flush with energy after a nine-day layoff and buoyed by the trade deadline acquisitions of Arron Afflalo and Alonzo Gee, the Trail Blazers were seemingly teeming with momentum when they visited the Utah Jazz Friday night, the first game of a season-ending 29-game march toward the NBA playoffs.

Instead, the Blazers looked woozy from an All-Star break hangover, suffering their worst and most puzzling loss off the season, 92-76, before 19,911 at EnergySolutions Arena.
