The Hawks will be lucky if they can match a 5 year 50 million dollar offer sheet. I think the only reason he doesn't get max is because there is no dumbass GMs setup to give him the max.

What he is worth is a different story, he is going to be a great sidekick kinda guy... somewhere in the 8-11 million range is what he should get.

he will get max.

if someone like lewis can get 120 million, there is no way he will NOT get max.

I would pay the max if it meant the difference between retaining him for 6 years and losing him for nothing.

but I wouldn't offer him the max and he doesn't deserve it nor will he ever. but neither does Joe Johnson and he's getting it. I'd offer him around 11m like someone else mentioned.

5 years, $60-65 million.

He's worth it. His upside is still so high. Remember, he is just a few years out of high school, and he has never played with an All-Star caliber point guard.

If Law improves in the next few years, then Smith will have him to play with. But otherwise, Lue and A. Johnson are capable and competent point guards, but not All-Stars.

If I'm Josh Smith and his agent, I accept nothing less than MAX MONEY. A lot of players get that lax money, if AK47 got max money Josh shouldn't sell himself short, he should get paid...look at how young he is? he's going to get a LOT better

If you just saw the block he put on Martel Webster, he should get paid 200 million

Nothing. If he was really that good the Hawks wouldn't suck so bad.

Josh Smith couldn't even stop a nobody like Travis Outlaw when it mattered the most. Joe Johnson couldn't stop aunt Esther.
