Default Peyton and the Colts

Will the streak end? The Colts have made the Playoffs every single year since 2001. They made the Superbowl last year but didn't manage to defeat the New Orleans Saints.

Record: 6-6
Division: 1-2

The division leader right now is Jacksonville at 7-5 with a 3-1 record in the division. They beat the Colts earlier in the season at home. The Colts and the Jaguars will meet again in week 15 in Indianapolis.

Schedule Jacksonville: vs. Oakland Raiders, at Indianapolis Colts, vs. Washington Redskins, at Houston Texans.

Schedule Indianapolis: at Tennessee Titans, vs. Jacksonville Jaguars, at Oakland Raiders, vs. Tennessee Titans.

The Colts have lost 2 in a row and are 2-3 in their last 5 while the Jaguars only loss in the past 5 games was at the New York Giants last week. The Colts, especially Peyton Manning, have had trouble as of late. Mainly in the turnover department, Manning has thrown 10 picks in his last three games. That makes it 14 on the year for him, just 2 away from his brother Eli.

So will the Indianapolis Colts return to the Playoffs this year?

And would they be the biggest dissapointment (team wise) of the year if they don't make the Playoffs? If not, what team would be the biggest dissapointment. There are a lot of teams not playing as well as many expected before the season.

They can still win the South. Jaguars are not running away with it. In fact, the Colts will hold their destiny in their hands, since they still have a game left with the Jags. If they win that, they will have swept them for the year.

Jags won the first game between the two in Jacksonville.

It's hard to lose all that talent and still be elite. I wouldn't bet on them, but stranger things have happened.

You can blame the injuries, the line (and it IS AWFUL), the lack of a run game, a defense that gives up seemingly 5 yards on every run, whatever. Manning's been off since the Chiefs game and just outright terrible the last 3 weeks. They're not even bad throws (mechanically, placement wise I mean, the passes are mostly on target), they're mostly just throws that should never leave his hand.

Something's going on with him, I don't mean physically, something upstairs. I don't know if he sees all the injuries and the lack of the run game and feels like he has to MAKE something happen or what, but whatever he is he's pressing way too damn hard. I don't know, maybe something's going on off the field, this is the worst I've seen him play since his rookie year.

Indy's got to NAIL this coming draft, if they don't draft OL early and often I won't know what to do. Bill Polian says he always goes best available and there's no value on late 1st round OL because the best ones are all top 5/10 guys. That's true. But we don't need a best one, just a couple legitimate friggin NFL starters.

i just think the lack of chemistry with the new players, not enough time to prep with them, no running game, and a porous offensive line is the causes of peyton's troubles this year.

but i am sure peyton is frustrated with the lack of running game the colts have. in the past, he had guys like marshall faulk and edge (at his prime) for this running game, but now it's just terrible.

also, i think dallas clark missing in the lineup is a lot bigger than we thought when he went down. the guy is a top 3 tight end.
