Very different animals. Cats are just more independent and don't rely on pleasing humans. I have a cat, gf has a dog. They love each other If you want a pet to do stuff with and take places, get a dog. If you want just a low maintenance, chill pet...get a cat.

I just like the independence of my cat. He doesn't need to be taken for walks, he cleans himself, conceals his shit, only meows when he wants food or water. He also looks very wise while doing it, dogs always look stupid to me with their stupid tongue out. Dogs are like a needy bitch always jumping and slobbering all over you.

The only time I hate my cat is when he does this, happens often and I don't know why cats do this shit. Meows forever like he wants to go inside, I open the door and he just stands there.
