The axe murderer has finally been signed by the UFC! Cant wait for him and Chuck to get it on. That and Cro-cop and Minotauro by Oct or November I think.

Quote:
Wandering No More: Silva Signs with UFC By Sherdog.com Staff The likelihood that Wanderlei Silva (Pictures) will fight Chuck Liddell (Pictures) greatly increased Friday when the former PRIDE 205-pound champion signed on the dotted line with Zuffa to compete under the UFC umbrella.

"Many fighters have a dream of fighting for the UFC, and as a champion for six years in Japan my dream has always been to have the UFC belt," Silva was quoted as saying on the UFC Web site. "Today, I'm one step closer to this goal."

In July UFC president Dana White told Yahoo!'s Kevin Iole that he didn't see a fight between Silva and Liddell, the former UFC light heavyweight champion, "happening now" after a deadline passed on an agreement that would have put the "Axe Murderer" in the octagon against "The Iceman" on Sept. 22.

A month later, Silva travelled to Las Vegas to sign the deal at the Zuffa offices. No date was announced for Silva's UFC return -- he is 1-2 in the octagon -- though it's believed he'll compete in December.

When Silva going to fight Shogun? The Obi-Wan Kenobi vs. Anakin showdown.

If Rampage can destroy Liddell and Shogun can murder Rampage, would Liddell ever consider fighting Shogun?

He's been training with Couture anyway recently since Chute split or something in the USA.

Shogun still has to beat Forrest first. Although, to be honest, Forrest Griffin would need a lucky, LUCKY shot against Shogun. If Forrest somehow beats Shogun Rua I would . I doubt it though. But Matt effin Serra beat GSP. (Oh, and btw, there is no way Matt Serra is the #1 WW in the world. NO. Matt Hughes is going to eat him for breakfast.)

Wandy vs Chuck must happen. Imagine if Chuck loses to Jardine? I'm not sure if Wandy wants to fight Shogun though. I think their tight with each other.

Just waiting for the ball to drop with Fedor now.

I think he's going to Hero's, though.

God, I hate UFC and Dana White.

Without PRIDE, MMA is dead.

Who wants to see a bunch of wrestlers lay and pray?

I'd rather see TRUE mixed martial arts, ala PRIDE rules.

Did you see the last Ultimate Fight Night event?

Or UFC 71?

I know what you're saying about Pride because it does suck that it's gone, but MMA isn't dead. That is very much not the case.

Besides, Sean Sherk (lay and pray) is more than likely going to be suspended for the next year so you'll be okay.

I don't like Dana White either. he was just on the local radio yesterday and he just loves to talk smack about boxing. no i'm not being hypocritical or overdramatic about this, he was dissing boxing. but anyways, silva is a beast i used to watch him with Pride and the replays that come on the sports channels.

Nope. He's going to have to watch Josh Koscheck try to lay and pray versus GSP if he's going to order UFC 74.

God I hope not, especially if Barnett follows him.

You'd have 3 top 10 heavyweights waisting away in Japan while all the rest of the ranked fighters, besides some Asian fighters, are being collected in the UFC.

Barnett, Fedor, and who?

I can't think of the 3rd fighter you're referring to.

If you think that Koscheck will have the opportunity to lay and pray on GSP for one second of their fight, you're nuts.

Matt Hughes couldn't do it so Koscheck sure as hell ain't gonna be able to do it. I know GSP got served by Serra, but he's going to mean business for this fight. He's not Diego Sanchez. That fight was pathetic and it sucks that Koscheck is where he is for winning that "fight" (more like a dance off).

GSP by KO/TKO in the 1st. Guaranteed.

According to what Ive read money is not the issue with Fedor, in fact Dana according to sources has offered the largest sum. The problem is Fedors manager wants the right to promote UFC in Russia which Dana doesn't want. Lastly they Fedors camp still wants him to compete in the Sambo competitions in Russia.

Oh I agree. GSP will beat the **** out of Koscheck.

And besides, Koscheck beat a distracted Diego Sanchez cause Diego was getting close to retiring cause he thought he had Hep C.

But Koscheck will try anyway.

Oh, and Zombles might be referring to Aleksander Emelianenko. Not sure though.

That's what I figured. Aleks has said his next fight will be in September and there is a Hero's card in September.

Barnett doesn't really care for Dana White and loooooves Japan.

I think we see all three in Hero's if Dana doesn't come off this Sambo thing.

It's probably 99% guaranteed that Barnett will just follow Fedor.

I do hope though that Fedor ends up in the UFC.
