Default Is fear a healthy motivator?

In any extent? Is there a line? Where do you draw it?

It sure as hell is.

A bit of fear is even neccesary.

Problem is when you let it completely control you, thats when you`re lost and doomed.

Im finished talking like Yoda for now.

Yes, that is why it exists. Unless you live in fear, but in small situations I think it is necessary.

I don't know if it's healthy but it's effective.

Agreed.

I'd say fear of disappointing your teammates is excellent for pushing you pass your threshold during the toughest practices.

Fear of death is extremely effective in helping you get into that "carpe diem" mentaty. But it's optimal to accept your inevitable cadaver sitatuion.

Fear of the harmfull effects of ciggies are great to prevent non smokers.

Fear of what situations can arise from the drunk driving videos are good for preventing (tho pretty ineffective once you've got your mind put.

But if it's aching and it drains your energy into anxiousness all the f*kkin time, its stupid.

Howeva, sh!t ike Doomsday-calibre paranoia, or being scared of what others think of u, or living in a rabbitesque mode one ear tilted sidewayz and one eye constantly twitching lookin for predators out for you kinda degrades yo quality of life.. even if its intentions are... to SAve it.

YES. It's fugging healthy. Only thing it does is slightly increase cortisol levels, and pretty sure a bit of fear is crucial to mental + emotional health (general sanity.)

Don't you snap back at your elders you phucking disgrace. And don't you ever think you're irreplaceable, you stupid motherfawker.

Where is the line though? Is Hitler's fear motivation acceptable? What about when your parents are about to beat your ass? etc etc

Think about a pre-med student in college. Their fear that if they don't work hard enough, they won't make it to medical school will either make them fall apart or motivate them.
