Turn up the sliders for close shots, layups, and shots in traffic. It's not really cheating because the CPU benefits from the change as well.

As for rebounding, the CPU is horrible at it. I always switch to a post player and rebound myself. I have no problem getting double digit rebounds that way.

I play GM and simulate the whole regular season. I do the development and scouting every week of course. Also making sure to alter the rotation to keep players happy, and trading players away if the minute distribution isn't working.

If I make the playoffs then I play the entire playoffs using best of 5, then best of 7 for the finals.

If I miss the playoffs then obviously I wasn't that great of a GM and I try to make the playoffs the next season by either drafting well or making some trades. The scouting system in NBA 2k8 is niiiiiiice.

I love starting franchises with the Blazers or Hawks.



tip: the 76ers are the savior of this game. The first thing I do when starting any franchise is dump the overpaid / long / old player contracts onto the Sixers for some draft pics and cap relief.

im 53-6 overall, i lost 3 games with the suns and 2 games with the celtics in the beginning, im undefeated with the teams above except 1 loss with the blazers... 50-1 with those ****ty teams up there
