I really don't get the hate on domestic beer. I know it's the hipster thing to hate on domestic beer nowadays but on a hot day i'd rather drink something refreshing.
Time and place for everything and domestics got their place for sure. Cold refreshing and keep you hydrated lol. On a hot day or a tailgate, knocking down a few coors light is always nice.

IPA’s arnt bad either. Almost all Lagunitas are good besides Imperial stout. Racer 5 is a great IPA too. I enjoy Sierra Nevada with a good dinner. To be honest I like all beer pretty much besides some of the real fruity ones and super dark ones.

I can't drink domestic beer at all. No taste/flavor. I never drank it though so maybe I never acquired a taste for it.

I started on liquor as I hated the taste of beer. Got into hard cider for a little while but now those are too sweet.

I moved to Portland Maine about 4 years ago and the craft breweries here are great. I've definitely gotten into my fair share of IPAs, if it sounds citrusy I usually enjoy it. The hazier the better in my opinion.

I also enjoy stouts and porters. Not a fan of sours.

Liquor is still my top though. But I like to sip a beer or two over a good meal. I can't really drink more than 2 beers though, too heavy/filling.

Can we stop saying domestic beer?

Craft beer made in the USA is domestic beer.

It's massively produced vs. craft beer.

i appreciate the science and engineering behind massively produced beer. Cheap beer has it's place, fellas. Respect the classics. It's far more difficult to make a good light and refreshing beer than a bottle of murky brown liquid with cinnamon, extracts, and other bullsh*t in it. Yuck.

Not a troll. I truly prefer regular old beer. I admit I have not tried all of the craft beers and perhaps there is one out there for me but the 20 or so I have tried were bad enough I am not interested in finding one. Give me a Miller Lite, Bud Light, Michelob Ultra, etc... any day of the week and I will be happy.

Had no idea you live in Portland. I have a summer house on an island in Casco Bay that's been in my family for a few generations. I try and get up there for a week each summer.

Portland, and Maine in general have some great beers. Shipyard, Allagash, Mast Landing, Baxter, etc. are all excellent.

Anybody else use Untappd? Been on there for 5 years and try to check-in to most beers I drink. To give you an idea how much I love craft beer, that's 1443 unique beers

    Maybe I have a problem.

I don't use Untapped. I do go to Beer Advocate to check ratings on stuff I've never had and thinking about purchasing while in the store.

Some of the descriptions that dude's leave about beers are hilarious.

"very piney with noticeable rug funk"

I am not a fruity beer drinker -

I prefer a solid thick malt .... some of the crafts are just way to funky.

My go to beer is BASS ale.
