Not true. He's had trouble with other long, athletic perimeter defenders like Batum and Iggy.

Overreaction thread. Kobe is and will remain better than Harden this season and possibly next (I said possibly...Harden does have youth on his side). Kobe was clearly the better player their last meeting....yet you guys don't care. Kobe has had the better individual season hands down. Team success? Harden for sure. L.A. is struggling as a whole. We have one of the best offenses in the league, and among the very worst defense in the league. And while Dwight and Pau are out, Kobe will just be playing with Nash/Artest and a bunch of D-Leaguers.

Kobe is the best SG in the league and anyone who actually watches Basketball knows this. Don't be a f*ckboy

kobe stans are running out of excuses. their boy's just can't do it like they want him to. he's only producing some worthless garbage stats this season while missing out on the biggest stat that matters: the W. it's just like the old days again...

So in 87 when MJ was putting up 37 5 5 , were those garbage stats because his team was .488? Below .500? Team success is in the hands of the TEAM. No matter who your teammates are, no matter what the circumstance may be...its a team game and team success is reliant on team cooperation/responsibility. Don't be a dufus

But why after playing in the league for 17 years when you have an HoF squad, do you not want to play smart ball. Shooting 40 times a game while leave your HOF teammates high and dry, not play a lick of defense and expect others to cover all your mistakes...

MJ did those in the 80s coz he knows his team had no chance of winning its all stats padding and fame gathering first. Kobe did this with Smush parker era people have no problem. But now?

Iggy yes. Batum not so much. Iggy can stay with him off the dribble Batum cant. Iggy gave him some fits, but that was the sametime he was going through an adjustment period where he was getting used to teams throwing all their defensive sets at him. Tony Allen gave him fits as well in their first meeting at that time, but Harden tore him in the next bout during his current streak.

He has clearly adjusted now to teams zeroing on him.

The fact that we're even having this conversation shows just how incredible Harden has been this season. Talk about a breakout year...

Harden is completely manufactured by the refs. Dude would be a homeless man's Jamal Crawford without the refs bailing him out on all of his out of control drives. He wasn't getting those superstar calls in the finals last year. What happened then?

    Kobe >>>>>>>>>>>> Harden
    Wade >>>>>>>>>>>> Harden
    Eric Gordon >>>>>>>>>> Harden

Nash missed a lot of games and is old, Gasol old, Dwight is hurt.

the Lakers would be even worse with James Harden.

It's not comparable. Kobe plays under enormous pressure, Harden is playing under essentially none. Kobe will be declared an enormous failure this year if things continue like this, Harden doesn't even need to make the playoffs. If Harden has a particularly bad game, he doesn't address the media that day and just leaves. It's not comparable at all. If you put Kobe in a situation and said "no pressure, if you lose it's ok, just put up numbers" what would he do? We've seen it before.
