Why Kevin Durant isn't at 2 is beyond me. Westbrook not top ten?

Re: ESPN: Rank the 24 players from the 1992 and 2012 team.
1. Jordan
2. LeBron
3. Robinson(although he would impact the game more than any today)
4. Durant
5. Malone
6. Barkley
7. Paul
8. Ewing
9. Drexler
10. Pippen
After this it's debatable. But this is the top 10 without doubt.
Magic didn't play in 91-92 by the way, which is why he's not in my top 10

You honestly think Drexler was a better player than Kobe right now? I'd like to dispute Barkley and Ewing as well, but I could maybe understand the reasoning behind ranking them higher due to the bigger impact big men could have in a game than wing players. I still think if you compare player to player though, Kobe is better than Ewing.
But, Drexler? Please tell me this isn't agenda-driven at all. Drexler?

27/5/5 on piss poor 43% shooting and losing in the 2nd round
or
25/7/7 on 47% shooting while leading your team into the finals
hmm....

Kobe >>> Drexler, but 2012 Kobe is not a better player than 1992 Drexler.

I'm ranking them based on the '91-'92 and '11-'12 NBA Seasons. Barkley had a down year, that was when he wanted out of Philly and his play was subpar for his standards. Just about any other year from '88-'93, he'd be top 3. Magic didn't play in the '91-'92 season, but he'd be top 3 at his '91 level. Laettner also didn't play in the NBA in the '91-'92 season, but he'd be towards the bottom anyway. Bird only played in 45 games and barely played in the playoffs, but he was still a 20/10/7 player.
Kind of tough ranking 20 years apart.

I hope you understand that the rankings being made in this thread were at their current states hence why Bird is near last in all of the rankings.

Numbers can be deceiving. I watched both Drexler in the 91-92 season, and Kobe this past season, and I'd personally rank Kobe ahead of Drexler.
28/5/5 btw**
I will say though that Drexler's 91-92 season was definitely his 2nd or third best season in the NBA. Though (like Kobe's past season), it wasn't one of his most efficent seasons.
