Keep that head up AT - Despite the abysmal record & early season dilemmas it's nice to see that you guys finally have some quality pieces to build around again. Let's just hope the Clippers brass doesn't completely botch things as they've done in years past...

And that dunk... *takes a deep breath*
That dunk was just...
That dunk was just... Words don't suffice

uh..people become infatuated with the dunks. if he has a huge dunk every other possession and misses a bank shot in between, he's a 50% shooter..nothing more. Yet people would believe he is much greater than he actually is due to the fashion in which he gets his points albeit at an average level of efficiency

Only reason I watched this game was because I wanted to see how Aminu would play against Gallinari (who absolutely murdered us tonight). Griffin was a nice surprise... yes, his weak side defence is pretty subpar for a forward but it'll come with time. I blame the entire team for tonight's loss... that was just a horrible effort in our own zone all night. No team (especially the bloody Knicks, no hard feelings NYKers) should be shooting 50+ from the line on any given night if we want to win. That just screams poor effort all-around.

We were fielding the youngest team out there up until tonight, so I'm not expecting much out of this season anymore. I just look forward to the rookies (Blake, Aminu, Bledsoe) developing and picking up a lot of experience in lieu of our two starters being injured- it's all you can really hope for in our situation, although being a fan of this team requires a certain amount of patience in itself.

Griffin is massively overrated. Amare had by far his best game of the season as well, and who was guarding him?

What an outstanding night for Blake motherfuckin' Griffin. 14/24 from the field. 44 points, 15 rebounds, 7 assists amounting to a 1-13 start for the Clippers.

Everyone knows Amare blows defensively. That wasn't the point.

You need to compare a rookie against an 8 year veteran who's had multiple 20+ point seasons to try to say he's overrated? Even at that it's a fail because Griffin outplayed him, grabbing more rebounds AND scoring more points...
If as a rookie you're being compared to the best (arguably) PF in the East, and arguably the second best power forward in the game, you're not overrated, you're GOOD.

Ironically, 'overrated' is the least insightful and most overused analysis of any player. It's a cop out justification.

That's an incredible stat line. Jesus. I didn't realize those were his numbers before I posted that smart ass reply earlier in the thread.
