What Big special was his rhyming/flow/ wordplay... specially his wordplay. The way he connected lines with some of his words was witty and funny.

Big L developed. I don't know if he had the ability to crossover tho.

I think Big L would have eventually become more commercialized or he would have had the same success as Nas. Maybe not as much money but large name recognition. Nas has said on file that Big L had ridiculous talent and it used to scare him that he had to compete with him. Jay Z always had respect for him and he nearly signed him (got killed before he could).

Kendrick is about a million times better than ab soul. Jay Rock is the only other guy in his clique that is any good.

....I liked 94-97 Mase a ton. A lot of the up and coming late 90s Harlem rappers had a ton of talent. They still produce great "street" rappers. Heck I didn't even mind him in the early 2000s although his style changed.
