It's just really strange that a PG can't run the pick-and-roll. That's something every PG should be able to run from the best to the worst. It's the most used play in basketball. But somehow when Felton runs it, it never works. There was a stretch where Felton was running the PnR decently during the win-streak from the 2nd half of the Nets game onward. Then for whatever reason he started to revert back to his play in the 1st 18 or so games. He still racked up the numbers, but they're deceiving cause you could tell he wasn't really creating good shots. People were just hitting contested shots and Amar'e was just eating people up.

Yea I don't get that.It was like someone took his Pootie Tang belt or something. He went from one extreme to another.Shame on all of us for not realizing it was an aberration.Bottom line is,he's just not that good. He's just a slightly better than average guy.

Furthermore, his stats make him look way better than he is.As does all Knicks players. This is y it baffles me how we dont get trades done. All of our guys who get playing time have souped up numbers lol The thing that gets me is, D'Antoni has this unique style of play n only will play guys who fit that mold BUT Walsh hasnt exactly brought a team here that fits that at all.For a team who's philosophy is predicated on shooting threes and tryna outscore everyone, we lack knockdown shooters and only have one prolific scorer. Makes no sense when you think about it.

Amar'e Stoudemire is probably the best P'nR finisher in the league. The best since Malone. He's got great hands and explosive athleticism. He and Steve Nash used to slice and dice opposing defenses with that simple play. With the Knicks, he hasn't been on the receiving end of a 1-5 P'nR since, like, early December. Or at least it feels that long. Other players have done it recently. Fields, Gallo.

Is Raymond Felton incompetent? Or is he faltering under the pressure and attention and weight of expectation?

I agree with you.
I always wonder why Knicks don't play pick and roll at all.
They have made it few times and that has finished with a great dunk by Stoudemire.

I want pick and roll Knicks

I think if we get Melo it will open the floor up more, so STAT and RF could attempt this more. It's hard to do it when the defense collapses on Amar'e (all the time) because the other team is daring someone else on the Knicks to beat them.

Guys, Felton was only meant to be a 2 year holdover until 2012 anyway. He is better than Duhon, which is all that matters right now.
