Who gives a flying f--k about those brainwashed students; majority of them have no f--king clue how severe this shit is. To me this is even worse than O.J.'s case, because innocent kids were involved.

I saw the student interviews on ESPN last night, and only one or two weren't f--ked up as the rest.

F--K PENN STATE!!!! I hope Sandusky gets a slow, agonizing and painful death while in prison.

just read the indictment, I pictured much worse in my head...still awful though obviously and who knows what he did that isn't in there.

as for Paterno losing his job, I don't know...I don't feel like there is enough info out for anyone in the public to have a strong opinion on that.

I am not sure that Paterno knew the severity of it...when told about the shower incident, he wasn't told details...he was just told there was inapropriate stuff going on...he didn't know there was a 10 year old boy bent over I don't think...

the other thing that bothers me is that Paterno's job is meaningless in the grand scheme of this shit...who cares about a football game or his job, he has money, he'll be fine...kids were raped, the attention should be there, not Paterno's employment...

I just looked at pics of Sandusky for the first time...

I'm quite sure if I had walked in on that guy I would have done something...that one puzzles me

although I can see how that could cause a wtf type deer in headlights effect...but still, after you process what you just saw for a sec, go in there and at min break it up...at max put him in a coma

McQueary told the NY Times that he told Paterno specifically, graphically what he saw. And according to the 30 year PSU radio play-by-play guy...who was himself a former board member of Second Mile...Paterno distanced himself from that organization and it's events right around the time in question. He no longer showed up to shake hands at fundraisers as he had always done in the past.

According to this same radio guy...whose Dad was the announcer for 30 years before him, so he's a Penn St lifer...Sandusky was a prime candidate for jobs at Maryland, Temple and one other school. A source at Maryland has said they were prepared to hire them when they received a call from "someone prominent" at Penn State who told them to steer clear of Sandusky.

You're right. This is bigger than football, but Paterno attempted to make himself bigger than anything with his self-serving retirement announcement. "The Board of Trustees doesn't need to spend one minute discussing me. They have far bigger things to worry about...I want to do everything to make this as easy as possible for them." It was nothing more than an effort to get out in front of the story and stall the president, who it has been said for years wanted to get rid of Paterno and the influence he carried.

Everyone involved with the story...anyone mentioned in the indictment...has to go. They have no choice. How do you put Paterno out there in front of adoring throngs on Saturday when he appears to be complicit...if in no way other than turning the other way...in the systematic rape of young children for a decade? Penn State needs to make he and this story go away as fast as possible, and that's not going to be very fast. But they have to start yesterday.

Yeah he was just oblivious to it all. Wait Sandusky was doin something inappropriate in the showers? Interesting, I'll tell someone that and leave it alone. I wont ask you questions about what happened, what you saw. I wont confront Sandusky about what he was seen doing. I wont even ask who was in the shower with. I mean I do know Sandusky had "issues" years ago which is why he retired and didnt get another coaching job ever. Mere coincidence tho. And now that I mention it, I dont even know what "issues" happened in 1998. Why did I mention it. So anyway all I know is PSU football and some kid came into my office and told me something that wasnt very detailed. Ah well. I wonder what my wife is making for dinner.

the more Paterno knew the more guilty he is obviously...all I know is what I just read in that indictment, it didn't go into much detail about Paterno, but made it seem like he was just given a phone call, and then Paterno went to others rather than the Police...

again, I don't think Paterno should be the focus here anyway, who cares if he loses his job, that is so meaningless in this...

I thought you were messing with us. This already ranks in the top one as the most bewildering f***ed up sports related scandal during my lifetime. If a murder is thrown in on top of it, then this story reaches an unattainable level of level of biggest sports related scandal ever.

Apparently McQueary is still coaching this weekend. Why hasn't he been canned?

That's the question of the day.

To me, it speaks directly to what he told Paterno. It would seem they think he did the right thing (though one would question why he didn't physically intervene to save a kid) and told Paterno exactly what he saw.

Still have trouble believing he';ll be on the sidelines Saturday. Maybe giving him a quieter exit.

Here is what dude above is talking about. DA, not detective. Totally unclear if its related at all, since he disappeared something like 7 years after the 1998 situation when he was unable/unwilling to press charges.
