But, he's a 23-year-old incredibly athletic scorer/playmaker whose gotten better and better over the course of his career and we haven't even seen him play on this newly made over roster.

Furthermore, it is about more than just Player A vs. Player B. It's also about Contract A vs. Contract B. Waiters is still on his very reasonable rookie deal and will be for another year, allowing us to make other roster moves while retaining his potential. Hibbert's contract is starting to look like an awful, awful deal.

And, beyond that, the contracts aren't even close to matching. This article is pure BS. He didn't even bother putting a modicum of research into it.

It doesn't seem fair, but when the league stood in for the Pelicans franchise, the coaches could legitamately vote against such trade and it had to be honored.

In this case, Cavs are not owned by or occupied by the league. Coaches don't have a leg to stand on to veto a trade here.

At least that is my understanding of it. I could be wrong.
