Iverson is intent on increasing his assist numbers this year, the Denver Post reports.
Both Iverson and head coach George Karl know that the club wins more when Iverson is distributing well (23-4 when he's dished out 10+ assists last year). "Obviously, the commitment is there for me to sacrifice my game to do whatever the team needs me to."
I can see 24/8.5-9 happening...
This news and off-season (other than losing Camby) is just getting better and better. K-Mart apparently looking like he's 25 again, Balkman apparently an even better replacement than Najera, Kleiza going to stay long-term, Melo played on Team USA and got even better, Iverson is looking to average more assists, JR is back, Karl apparently is stressing defense more than ever, etc. I'm ecstatic. Now if only we kept Camby.... if only..... I would be a very happy man with very high hopes.
