I think Derrick Rose will do better than OJ Mayo. Derrick is a beast and probably one of the most exciting HS player in this nation.

I admit I've only seen Rose once but I wasn't amazed. His handle and jumpshot needed work and his whole game seemed to be based on "out athleting" guys.

That makes me wonder what he'll be able to do as the athletic ability of his competition rises.

His athletic shortcoming are going to make it hard for him in the league, think now his already 20 playing with hs kids. But when he is playing in the NBA he will have trouble with his first step and be forced to be a shot maker. I dont think he has a pure enough stroke to do that. Plus al the hype he has on him he looks no where near as talented as the great guards in hs. Stats might be there but the overall talent to get better isnt. OJ has a fairly low ceiling for someone who is so hyped.

thats what a lot of guys do in hs....but the thing is you can work on skills but you cant work on natural talent. Rose has good court vision, is as quick as any1 in the league and can finish above the rim with great body control. His jumper is also improving, I just hope he stays in college to really refine his game.
