Peter Dinklage as Puck!

That's what fanboys worldwide are praying after the news that the actor, most famous for his leading role on Game of Thrones, is to join director Bryan Singer's X-Men revamp.

"Officially like to welcome #PeterDinklage from #GameOfThrones to #XMEN #DaysofFuturePast Very very excited!" tweeted Singer Wednesday.

One fan tweeted back "@BryanSinger This cast so far is INSANE!"

Gotta agree with him there. Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Hugh Jackman, Michael Fassbender, Ellen Page, Patrick Stewart and now Peter Dinklage? Yes, please. Cast = insane.

Not to mention that Bryan Singer was the director of the first two X-Men movies — a.k.a. the good X-Men movies — so possibly Singer can wrestle Days of Future Past into something satisfying.

Anyway, Singer didn't mention in his tweet what role Dinklage will play, but most assume it'll be Puck, whom Entertainment Weekly describes as "a strapping adventurer who found his physical stature shrunk by mystical forces — making him smaller, but no less of a forceful fighter."

So damn excited for this. Mixing the old cast (Wolverine, Rogue, Ice Man, Kitty, Xavier and Magneto) with the First Class cast (including mi amour Lawrence) is gonna take a lot of careful planning to avoid making it too confusing though.

Also hoping they can somehow use the time traveling to undo all the unnecessary deaths the idiot direct of X-Men III caused (Cyclops, Professor X etc)

Hugh Jackman as Wolverine is still a perfect fit. I'm glad he has stuck with that role. The inner kid in me still daydreams about being Wolverine.

Well hopefully it can't be any worse than all the X-Men films that have come out so far. "the good X-Men movies" in references to the first two. They've all been mediocre. My expectations are low for the next one, so hopefully it delivers

This has the potential to be the greatest superhero movie of all time. Or it could flop ala Spiderman 3 with too much going on.

But regardless the third Avengers (yes, not the 2nd) will be the greatest superhero movie if rumors are correct. With Guardians of the Galaxy plus the current group in the 2nd one, AntMan and Dr. Strange plus them in the 3rd and the rumored planet hulk storyline working into the 3rd phase.... drool everywhere.
