The Pistons demolished Sacramento in the Summersleague, as DaJuan Summers pretty much rolled over their team to score 24 points and take 7 boards. Good start.
Ahmad Nivins, another second round draft pick (and someone who the Pistons should have nabbed at 44
) looked pretty good for Dallas in their loss to Milwaukee. I know hindsight is always 20/20, but it seemed to me at the time anyway that Nivins would have been a great choice and that the extra cap space from trading Budinger would have been a secondary need. Hopefully, he doesn't wind up making a lot of teams look back and say if only...
