Default Rodney Stuckey off to slow start in 2011-12

It hasn't been a rousing start for Rodney Stuckey.

After signing a three-year, $25-million deal that caused him to miss the first week of training camp because of negotiations, he is off to his slowest start since he missed 25 games as a rookie because of a broken left hand.

Hampered by a sore left groin that has caused him to miss four games, Stuckey's numbers are down across the board after a promising month to end last season.

his shooting has been off, thats for sure. but he's getting to line, causing havoc in the paint when he attacks. this team does better when we attack the paint- he should still start over gordon.

It's tough to play hurt..... once he's 100% he'll be ballin the way he should be. Honestly, the more games we lose the better. Right now we're projected to have a top 3 pick in a very good draft. Imagine this team with someone like Harrison Barnes, Andre Drummond, Perry Jones, or Anthony Davis..... things would turn around in a hurry.

Stuckey has been getting to the line A LOT these past few games.

Last 10 games he is averaging 18 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 1.5 steals, 7.7 free throw attempts on 46% shooting, 33% from deep, and 84% at the line.

Last 5 - 23 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 1.8 steals, 11 free throws s a game on 46% shooting, 25% from deep, 86% from the line.

Way to go Stuckey, keep it up! He's really a weapon as a SG alongside Knight just as some of the fans predicted. The whistles are mostly going his way for the first time in his career.

As for the losing drought - The winning experience is worth losing a few lottery balls. Never know what might bounce our way ;).

Makes me love what I posted back in January even more!!!! I've never understood why people rip on Stuckey so much.... outside of Monroe he's the other best player we have. I just want to see those guys do well, and the Pistons to quit winning some of these close ones, lol With what we have and a top 3 pick we'll be solid again.
