There were a lot of teams that needed an actual PG (not a combo-guard, not a smaller guard masquerading as a PG, not a SG that played PG in college).

If there's another option for the position you need to fill for the future, you take it. Instead they were once again dumbsh*ts and missed out on a potential all-star. Perhaps the rookie of the year. That would've made them a really attractive destination for free agents in 2010. Ouch.

You mistook my post... I'm agreeing with you that the Knicks, like many other teams with DIRECT needs at the point, made a poor decision in passing over Jennings.

Imagine Jennings running the show in D'Antoni ball. Electrifying.
