Lmao name more than 3 really good players on the lakers that can get their own shot any time they want to. The laker teams is not very talented nor deep.

I think Blake, Brown, Artest, Gasol and Bynum is very formidable. It's never good to lose a player with the talent of Kobe Bryant. But if that line up focused on playing good smart basketball, they could be even better then the current Lakers.

Without Bryant...they would still be a playoff team. I'd say the 4 or 5 seed... that's assuming everyone stays healthy.

We have to assume Bynum would atleast miss a few games...if you take away Bryant...that leaves Bynum as the third option...

They would be rough if Bynum sustained a significant injury.

EDIT: response to a few posts up... read what you just said. Smart basketball...I completely agree, but don't lie...Shannon is un-able to put that into motion.

This is very difficult to answer considering the oppositions' defensive schemes obviously have a large focus on Bryant and without him there would be very different.

That is probably true but if Kobe magically got off the pay roll for the Lakers, I think they could put that into motion within a few years. I think the Lakers have just adapted to Kobe's poor shot selection and occasional chuck fests. They don't know anything else at this point. Kobe has all the talent in the world but they could be even better if he harnessed all of it by being more team oriented. He needs to calm down his ego. Or atleast not turn into an ego maniac involving his own team mates. The dude almost had a meltdown when Pau was getting MVP talks. He should just be happy for him and focus on playing right.

I'm as big a Kobe fan as they come but I completely agree.

I hate watching the Lakers and you can just see he has no intention on passing at points in the game... it's flat-out painful to watch.

Then there's games when he makes the perfect decisions every time. He gets too competitive against certain top tier teams... hopefully he doesn't fhck up the playoffs for the em... if he plays efficiently Lakers can't lose...

IF. MEGA IF.

Da fhck you talking about? Refer to previous posts... I'm a huge Kobe fan... and the name is directed a LeBron... but read any of my posts... I rarely post anything that isn't accurate, unlike most posters...

So... yeah. Not sure if mis-interpreted... but... uhhh...ok.

I agree. A team that would make playoffs every year, poss a WCF's or two, but without him, they r not a chip team....u can hate on Kobe, but to act like he doesn't change the way teams defend the Lakers is nuts

They'd be like LeBron's Cavaliers. They'd play well in the regular season and lose to all the good teams. They'd win between 40 and 50 games, especially since Bynum was out for the first couple months.
