they want a strong sf that can contribute.(S%T luke)
they had aldrigde, oden. dont need randolph.
if can get randolph for cheap. why not?
he's not worse than kwame?
i actually think he will improve our team.
lamar,randoplh,kobe? keeping bynum?
thats not bad. honesty. its an upgrade from last year.
then bring in blake

Randolph has 4 years left starting at $13.33 million. therefore you need to trade around 11 million out for it to work.

of course if you can get any decent player for cheap... why not. I mean laker fans are forever acquiring any Free Agent or player available via trade. Its always Why not....

So Randolph is better than Kwame, yet you are offering the Blazers Kwame why would they take that?

1.they want to ship randolph
2.they need cap space.
3.they have oden, aldridge, they want them to develop.
4.they need a starting do it all sf.(Which is why I SAID we include luke.)

with all do respect

13 mil. thats fine.
kwame makes 9. and luke is gonna sign some where around 5 mil.
so the salaries will match up.
if they dont bite add a draft pick. 2nd round(maybe both)
or throw in our 19th. we arent going to use it anyway

next season is going to be a banner year for free agents... i'm not condoning this but as an option what about.... doing nothing? and trade kobe for the biggest pack of expiring contracts before the trade deadline....with kwame coming off the books next year between kobe and kwame the lakers clear nearly 30 mill off the books add in any other expiring contracts the they pick up we could see the lakers 35 million or so under the cap

mithc just picks up the phone and calls every gm and says next febuary we want as many expiring contracts this off season that equal 20 million that you can round up...

Isnít that the summer were Bosh Wade and Lebron are all free agents?

((Speculation))

We do as stated above trade Kobe for expiring contracts and let them all expire including Kwame clearing 30 mil of the books then try and sign D-Wade to a 10-15 mil a year and Lebron to another 10-15 see if you could get them on the same page to agree to each take 10-12 if possible they might do it sure they could make more elsewhere but would they be paired up together to win championships for the next 5+ years it could be pretty enticing to them in a huge market like LA $hit there shoe company would give them fat bonuses for getting into a big market (already in there shoe contracts) which would compensate for the 5+ mil they would be leaving on the table. Itís all a huge pipe dream since from reports I have read Lebron is all about being the richest athlete but could you imagine

Another thing we need to do. We need to go forward on the assumption we're going to have to trade Kobe next summer, meaning that we need to draft a shooting guard. If it is possible to trade up for Nick Young, we should do it. This way, we can have a possible replacement when he does leave, so we're not desperate to get a shooting guard in return. We need to hit 3 home runs in the draft tomorrow night.

How about trading Kobe for #1 pick, Oden, Randolph and Magloire and build around Bynum and Odum.
