Default Stevie franchise

ESPN has reported that the Portland Traiblazers will be buying out Steve Francis's contrat, making him a free agent.... Is this a player the lakers should be looking at? i'm not sure myself, but he did express last week he'd enjoy having kobe play in NEW York with him... of course at the time he probably thought he'd be in NEW York if kobe got there...lol

I love him as a player
but I don't think he can do much help for the Lakers
he is undersized and not a great shooter
great finisher

I wouldn't want to pay him too much
but I think he would be balling if he played for a team like GSW

i like it.
i see him bieng revieved.
ALIVE.
see he played point. maybe he diddnt pass as well as he could of because he thought he was the best player on the team.well. with kobe he wont be.
i say we add him. what have we got to loose? for cheap? cant be worse than radman. if it works out. i say at the deadline we deal cook, radman, and every other player that i dont like for a stronger player.lol

Lets sign him for the MLE! This will for sure keep Kobe in LA.

I agree. In fact, I think he would make an excellent triangle-PG (i.e. shooter). If he is healthy and inspired, he is a difference-maker. His legacy is on the line now.

I think he wants to go back to Houston.

I don't like Steve Francis on the Lakers... From everything I have seen, he needs the ball in his hands and he's kind of selfish... I could be wrong, but thats the way I see it.

Even if we like STevie wonderbread Franciscunt he has not shown interest playing along side kobe but he'll definitely help especailly now that we dont have any good PG at all. Sasha, Farmar and JAvaris CLitoris are all NBDL caliber players, they are all 4th stringer PG's not starting PG.

hell no plz no, I watched him enough with the knicks to know that his over dribbling, no defensive ass needs to stay away. He had 1 good moment all season. Hitting the game winner against the wizards.

WOW. c'mon.
4th stringer?
i seriously doubt that. you go ahead and find me a team with 3 point guards better than farmar.
please.

i say we bring him in.

if not im still high on artest.
id rather add a star like artest/steve because we can still keep odom/bynum and keep kobe nuetral.
at least we added guys. good quality guys.
