Two forgotten "greats" of the 70s.

Their careers are REMARKABLY similar. Both entered the league at exactly the same time (1969). Both hung on for two years too long at the end of their careers, when their bodies betrayed them. Both upped their play in the post season. Dandridge's playoff averages are 20/8/4. White's are 22/4/6. Both had many "clutch" heroics. Both have two rings. White has a finals MVP. Dandridge probably deserved one. They even wore the same jersey number!!

I must confess to not knowing much about Jo Jo, but Dandridge was one of my favorite players growing up. I patterned my game after the way he used to always hit short jumpers from the corner of the foul line.

Not a great player, but a consistent one. I think he understood the craft of the game more, while Jo Jo was a bit more flashy.

Dandridge just because of his defensive abilities

Dandridge, he was like the Paul Pierce of his day, 4th best SF of the 70's and Bill Simmons gives him major props in his book.

Don't know much about Jo Jo White but, from what I've read about Dandridge, it does seem like he's one of the more underrated complete players of all-time. He was an excellent rebounding G/F and efficient 20 ppg scorer in his prime.
