Default Summer Plans

This team needs to do a few things in order to turn things around.

1. Trade Michael Redd. He's a good player to have as a second option on another team so he has lots of value with a team looking for a scorer. Throughout the years, he's proved that he's not a franchise player. He's a horrible defender, passer, and rebounder. At this point, he's a one-dimensional player thats getting paid $15,600,000 next season and is has 3 more years left at $52,000,000.

Send Redd, Villanueva, and the 7th pick of the draft to Memphis for Mike Miller, Darko Milicic, Hakim Warrick, and the 4th pick in the draft. If Memphis can grab a guy like McGee or Jordan in the draft, then they'd have a pretty good line up. Conley, Redd, Gay, and Villanueva would make a nice line up. The Bucks get 3 shorter and more manageable contracts. Miller is a guy that is much more versatile that Redd and can play the 3. He's just as good as a shooter as MR also. Milcic gives them some depth in the front court as will Warrick.

2. Send Mo Williams, Dan Gadzuric, and Charlie Bell to the Heat for Shawn Marion. Marion will more than likely pick up his option for $17M and becomes an expiring contract. Miami would love this trade as they get a point guard they coveted last Summer as well as a center. Now they can concentrate on drafting Beasley. Williams, Wade, Beasley, Haslem, and Gadzuric?

3. Swapping picks with Memphis, puts them in front of the Knicks and gives them a chance at Jerryd Bayless. Bayless would be a great point guard for this team and could be a Chris Paul type point in the league.

4. Most of the second rounders selected don't make it big in the NBA, but its not a pick they should take lightly. There's a Michael Redd, Monta Ellis, or Gilbert Arenas to be found in the second round.

2nd round Draft Target: Devon Hardin - 6'10 PF California

A physical speciman and could very well turn into a Dwight Howard type player.

5. Free Agent Targets: Carlos Arroyo (unrestricted free agent), Austin Croshere (unrestricted free agent) would be cheap and would add depth to the front court.

6. 2008-09 Line up

PG Bayless - Arroyo
SG Miller - Mason
SF Marion - Warrick - Simmons
PF Yi - Hardin - Croshere
C Bogut - Milicic
