Rondo's defense is bad. You act like you are comparing Yogi to a good defender.

Who cares how Randle takes it. He's not in control of the situation and would be an asset to the franchise just for salary matching purposes in a trade.

Like I've said from the jump. If you think losing a player like Randle and not getting anything directly back in the most team friendly free agency market in decades is a solid move, fair enough, but please stop acting like it is some crazy notion to think it wasn't optimal.

Do you realize that he would be unhappy and playing like trash with Lebron there?

21 points (9-13 shooting), 14 rebounds (6 offensive), 10 assists, 1 steal, 0 turnovers, W vs. Spurs. This kid is special, what an incredible talent.

No. Lakers did well. Why give him an extension and compromise your cap space when the big Free Agency is coming next summer?

Because having Randle on your team on a favorable contract is better than having open cap space.

Teams will be willing to trade for him...meaning teams would be willing to give up an asset for him.

So it is better than having open cap space because if the Lakers really needed to open up cap...they could have moved Randle after a couple phone calls and likely gotten an asset in return as well.

The Lakers did not do well here. They lost this guy for nothing...

Yep.

Amazing what having millions of dollars on the line will get players to do.

This is his reply, I for one would NOT RISK Randle's reaction if the Lakers actually GUARANTEES the salary and him not playing his best or or even faking injuries or delaying his comebacks like just what Kawhi did in SAS or just being disruptive to the team and deciding he will rest like Butler at Minnesota. Yes Lakers had control but in the end Julius has control on what would want to do. And don't think there will be repercussions because both Kawhi and Butler got what they wanted and their present teams still were willing to take them in.

That usually happens when you are so inspired to play where YOU WANT TO PLAY AND LOVE YOUR ROLE.
Kawhi, Butler, Kyrie, all playing good ball.
JR Smith?, not so much.

37/8 on 63% shooting. 6MOY, MIP? Special talent. Magic and Pelinka.

The Pelicans came back from 18 down, went 4 up and then Randle fouled out with 4 minutes to go. The Pelicans would lose by 3.

Easily. Rose is leading it due to the story, but he's been amazing so far this year (and better than Rose or anyone else). I wouldn't say MIP since towards the second half last year, he was the best players for the Lakers. And then they sold him.
