I know, but minutes played is also a factor.

Kobe's 81/Shaq's 63/Kobe's 62.

Kobe's 81 point game, hands down.

Also, Gil gets an asterisk because he needed 5 minutes of OT to get his (don't know about the rest since I didn't see the games). Then again, he was being guarded by Kobe at the Forum and had 15 in overtime

either I disagree or we have a different definitino of superstar...In the Dallas game people were doubling him on the touch and he was sometimes raising up over 2 people. When you outscore a whole team Im sure the shots are gonna be hard to come by. And unlike most superstars Kobe doesnt have a weakness in his offensive skill set.

The two things I like the most about Gil's game are that he set the record for most points scored in an overtime period in this game and that after the game, Kobe said he didn't have a conscience with regards to shot selection, so Gilbo started yelling "quality shot!" after all of his makes for a month or so.

Kobe's 81. You can whine about who he played against, but the Lakers needed every point in that game to win, not to mention if your that hot do you stop shooting?

I remember that. "Unfortunately" I was at the game. Arenas was insane in OT. We kept hoping Kobe would keep pace (Kobe had it going in the 4th) but he fizzled out while Gilbert scored 15 or something to lead Washington to a win. Great game, just bad ending for Laker fans.

Which one in your opinion is the most impressive?

2)Shaquille O'Neal(3/6/00)- 61 pts/23 reb/3 ast on 24/35 shooting(45 minutes)

I saw this game - it was against the Clippers on his birthday, and it was actually embarrassing. It felt like you were watching a high school baller play against an elementary school.

He was dunking on small undersized guys so often that I actually started wishing they'd sit him down. And I'm a big Shaq fan.

The degree of difficulty of that game was about a 2 outta 10. I know it speaks to his dominance, but I think the stats lie in some regard to that game.

The time/speed you score your points is important because in a basketball game , time is a constraint. It's only 48 minutes long, barring OT.
This is why it's more impressive to score 62 in 31 minutes than to score 62 in 48 minutes.
Cheap attempt at hating by Loki. You're better than that

Kobe's 62, it was in 3 quarters and with better shooting than the 81 point game
