Well that only makes sense but it's not like the other 90% aren't allowed to invest in the market.

This thread is about the stock market. You're commenting on something that is tangential at best. Lol, don't let those guys live rent-free in your head, man.

Yeah, look how bad that is. Nobody made any money investing during Trump's reign.

Sh!t is right. We are right where we were in January. Of course, the year is not yet complete, but I don't like what I'm seeing. Trump and Trumpeters were yelling at the top of their lungs of markets after the tax cuts. Well, we are right back to the beginning of year after correction. Now what?

So much for record highs

You set yourself up, man... again. You responded to a subjective (though generally accepted) statement with graphs as if to disprove the statement. You should have made the larger argument that the market waxes and wanes based on a myriad of factors. Instead, you played right into his hands. Stop doing that.

fun fact- the 3 biggest single day point drops in stock market history all came in 2018, with the third being last week's 800+ point loss.

And January marked a year of 26% gains. Not every year is going to produce gains like that no matter who is president. The market fluctuates but historically comes out ahead over time.

I made the mistake of assuming people already knew that.

Better...

...and had you created a thread that said just this, you wouldn't have provided fodder for all of the mockery.
