Question Free Agent Bigs...

OK, let's be realistic... Which FA bigman would you like to see invited to camp or just flat out signed by the Jazz???

some options are:

KVH(prolly too expensive)
Kandiman (unmotivated)
Melvin Ely(restricted)
???

Who else people?

Kelvin Cato is available, neither he nor any of the afformentioned guys are worth signing, well maybe Ely but he is restricted. I don't see where Van Horn would play. He is a jump shooting small forward in a 6'10" frame. If I remember right we already have a superior version of that in Okur. Olowakandi is worthless and should be playing in Boise for the Stampede. Reggie Evans might be worthwhile tho he is asking way too much and we may have a similar player in Milsap.

Yeah, I agree... I was just looking at the top FA still around.
I knew there'd be some others, that's why I asked...

Exclamation

I would sign Van Horn. He would replace Okur as the jump shooting big man and would be a good fit. He plays hard and would play limited time, hopefully preventing him from injury. (probably not) He also will be coming back to his hometown where he was a college legend and should be cheap. If that doesn't work I would sign Kukoc. They need a versatile forward who can shoot well and he also is a good passer. I would go for Van Horn or Kukoc if KVH is asking too much.

If I said "SHOTBLOCKER" would you be surprised!
(I swear I'm not obsessed, really..............Okay, a little!)
shotblocker, shotblocker, shotblocker, shotblocker.........

As far as Van Horn, if he took way less money then hell yeah. Otherwise just someone BIG...

Yeah, i'd definitely take KVH. He's gonna be cheap (he doesn't have the cards to ask for a ton of money... plus last year's salary alone set him for life 12 times over.) Even tho he isn't a great rebounder, he'll be a nice backup for Okur so they can keep spreading the floor with the bigs. Plus he can shoot the 3. And it'd be nice to have someone off the bench besides Fisher capable of launching the 3. I wonder if he'd even play better with his hometown crowd behind him...

You'd think that he would if he did play for the Jazz....

Otherwise Hoffa could sort him out in the locker room and show him what the Cougars think of Utes.
Or vive-versa and KVH shows some toughness....

We have to get Keith Van Horn. He was a very effective spark off the bench for a serious contender. We could use his experience and his shot (remember how the jazz are always getting killed by their lack of shooters)

This guy doesn't fit into the budget for hardly any other team in the league. We could get this guy CHEAP!!!

I'm not totally sure that Sloan would like someone who just stands around and shoots threes... But yeah, another outside shooter would be nice.
