Default Great Post Players need there Wing!

Like it says, Great post players need there wing!

Everyone please stop hating on Chris Bosh it's not his fault!

Chris Bosh doesn't get any help from his wings, late in games you can't iso your big in the post all the time because he is simply going to get doubled teamed! BUT

Wing player opens that up because if Chris Bosh gets double teamed he can throw it too the wing and let him drive and dish. Right now that doesn't happen .....

Late in games Pick and Rolls ( Most teams do this ) We can't do because he Bosh sets the pick .... the wing who has the ball doesn't drive or anything!

Chris Bosh just needs a DECENT wing player to let some of the pressure off of him, plus right now Chris Bosh is the only player who can ISO everyone else just stands around or jacks up 3 point shots .......

So please everyone here stop hating on Chris Bosh saying that he isn't " Superstar " or can't lead a team .....

GET HIM A DECENT WING AND LETS SEE WHAT HAPPENS!

Here are some Bigs/Wings who make there jobs a lot easier ......

Paul Pierce - Kevin Garnett
Dwayne Wade - Shaq
Kobe - Gasol
Tmac - Yao
Paul - West
Manu - Duncan
Roy - Lamarus
Hedo - Howard
Amare - Nash

Again, basketball is 5-on-5. The easiest way to double team the PF is when the other team has an offensive-less C. If you trade Bargnani, JO is injured, and play... Voshkul? Hump? Diop? then the C-defender will easily double Bosh. No matter how good is the winger, he will be also defended.

Pick and Roll is best played with PG-big, not wing-PF, because in the first case the mismatch created in case of switching defenders is bigger.

There you have SG-PF, SG-C, PG or near PG-big (Paul, Wade, Roy)
But any combination is possible
Olajuwon-Sampson
Robinson-Duncan
Bird-Mchale
Isiah-Dumars ...
because, besides those superstars, a great team is always full of great players.

So, please, stop saying that a wing player is the solution to all.

First of all your wrong,

Second of all our PG isn't aggressive enough for the pick and roll he will only shoot the ball.

Did i say trade Bargnani? NO

Basketball is 5 on 5? sure, but when it comes down to crunch time you usually try and get your best players the ball, and in our case it's only a single post player .....

you obviously don't watch basketball, because you would undersstand,

a good wing right now is all we need to bring us to the next level! ( Playoff material )

While I agree to an extent...

I don't think post players in general just need a wing... they need a solid team around them... just like a PG needs a team, a wing needs a team. NO player in NBA history has single handedly led a team to the Championship. Jordan needed Pippen, Kobe needed Shaq (and Shaq needed Wade), etc, etc. Bottom line, Bosh needs better teammates. And they're not one player away.

Amen.

No matter how much we hear now that it's turning into an "iso league", it's still a team game and no single player can achieve full potential without the appropriate supporting cast.

jcpr3 is right that we do need a good wing player, because that's basically the missing link to our team (along with depth), but to say every post player needs a wing is not fully accurate.

but guys, right now were good! were really good! we are close late into games with most of the teams, we have everything, GREAT PG, GREAT FORWARDS, DEVELOPING CENTER! DEVELOPING BENCH!

We have a very good team right now, but like i said when it comes down too the 4th quarter and late in games, The ball is only in your best players hand and in our case it's a PF which is hard sometimes .....

DID YOU SEE BOSTON! LATE IN GAMES PAUL PERICE DRIBBLED THE BALL UP AND CREATED EVERYTHING FOR EVERYONE OR HIM SELF!

Team game for 3 1/2 quarters of the game but when it comes down to the last minutes its a 2 man game with your best players!

The ball went to pierce because we have no one to guard him.

In our case the ball should go to chris late in the 4th every time. For some reason it doesn't and this is a concern.

The other thing is this thread makes no sense as CB4 is not a post player.

Not hating on Bosh.

I agree a wing player would make him more effective and a better player but the fact is he wants to be liked.

A wing has nothing to do with Bosh not fighting Garnett for position and with him not standing up for his teammates when they are shoved or fouled hard or given a cheap shot. (The same can be said for Parker, Kapano, Moon and several others on the team.) What did Bosh do in the game in Toronto in November when the Celtics were up by 20 and in the 2nd half Perkins dunks the ball and celebrates like it was his first dunk (or they won a championship) and flails his arms into Bosh. Bosh did absolutely nothing. In his house on his home court he should have at least got into Perkins' face. Voshkul or O'Neal and even Graham would have done something. The leader who Bosh is suppose to be has to lead. In those cases when it comes to being tough and playing with edge and standing up for his teammates he does not. Instead of trying to be a comedian and posting his acting antics to youtube he should spend his time taking a course on being tough.

I don't hate Bosh. He has a lot of skill and is their top player but he is missing one important characteristic that would help separate him from other PFs in the game. His name is always mentioned in the same breathe as Wade and LeBron because he was in the same draft class but the difference is those 2 guys don't take ****.

You need to say a lot more.

Bosh had single coverage, he wasn't overwhelmed.

He went to his go-to move and Noah was expecting it, blocked the shot.

Regardless, Guards are the way to go when there is single shot left in the game. It's hard for Post players because you have to make your move and your rushed ...... looked what happened!

If we had a wing we could of just Pick and Roll with Bosh and ( Guard ) and it would of opened up alot more ......

No decent teams let there big man iso in the paint with less than 8 seconds left in the game, plus Bargnani is sitting at the top of the key so there is ZERO chance for a tip in or any kind .......

This happens to us a lot late in games, we have lost couple of games this year within 1 - 3 points ......

This was a perfect example of why we need a Wing!

I kinda agree with jcrp3 but what he's saying is obvious and there has been 40-50 threads on this subject thus far this season. YES we need a better wing player but we do not have enough tradeable assets to get one and JO's contract will enable us from signing one for the next 2 years because his contract takes up half the team's payroll. He really needs to go, then maybe this summer when we have caproom from a Marbury or Marion trade we can sign a solid SG-SF.
