No one mentioned these classic alien/horror flicks.

28 Weeks Later was excellent, especially with LOUD surround sound!! Good story too for a zombie movie.

I dunno if you could classify this as a horror movie or more of a thriller but The Omen, the original version w/ Gregory Peck scared the sh!t outta me as a child. It's very good, good pace and tone.

Best Part of the Movie is the Sniper Sequence, and the best Character is Sergeant Doyle because he tried to protect the 2 kids, but in the end he was killed by the Soldiers after they torched him with the Flamethrower.

You guys might laugh, but Jaws scared the sh!t out of me. I'm sure it isn't classified as a straight horror film, but it put me off from swimming in the ocean to this day.

And for like a year or two after I first saw it, I wouldn't even swim in a swimming pool at night.

Plus the story the Irish guy tells when they are on the boat about how all them Navy dudes got eaten one by one during WWII was ****ED.

And the Audition was really freaky.

And I know its cliche, but I still put Halloween up there.

As far as the Ring goes, what was scary about it was how the girl moved, with all the missing frames so she was right up on the camera and the way she moved all disjointed. Yeah that was kind of scary.
