Again, I'm not trying to hype Melo. Melo has been overrated for much of his career. And I agree LBJ and Wade wouldn't have been knocked out in the first round, but they also weren't making it to 4 straight finals. Melo + Iverson may not have made the Finals in the East either, but they probably would have consistently gotten out of the 1st round in the East. My point was, LeBron + Wade's consistent Finals runs was inflated by being in the East, while Iverson + Melo likely got consistently further if they were in as weak of a conference when they were together. What I'm definitely not saying is that Iverson and Melo were better than LeBron and Wade.

And you're ignoring JR(better than Ray Allen) and Kenyon Martin. Heat are obviously better outside their top 2 but it's not like the Nuggets had complete trash.

Iverson is a cancer, what else do you expect? He was good when he was in prime, but since he turned 30, he has been a net negative impact for the team he plays. The Nuggets went to WCF immediately after trading him for Billups, while the Pistons dropped from ECF to first round exit. Is this a mere coincidence?
