Default Why didn't the Cavs go after Grant Hill?

he would've been a nice fit. Could've played multiple positions, has loads of experience, plus is a good locker room/glue guy.

Is it the salary cap that prevented us from doing this/Ferry being clueless/him basically deciding that PHX was the only place he wanted to go?

Injury worries?
he's about 90?
And sadly they might not have had the 4 million to go after him, and i have to admit, Phoenix is closer to a championship then us, and he wants that before he retires.

Chances are he wanted to play for a contender, which I'm sorry to say doesn't include us, especially after the Finals disaster.

Also, he plays the same position as Lebron, so how much would he have actually played with Lebron playing 43 minutes per game?

At his age, and with his injury history, you basically have to keep him at the 3. Moving Lebron up to the 2 or 1 doesn't make sense, because you risk James becoming a defensive liability.

And to be honest, Hill is a risk, for obvious reasons. I wouldn't sign him at all, unless it was for the league minimum.
