Lakers would get better defensively and athletically..also younger
Pau value comes with his offense and him being an insurance policy (can and has flourished playing center) just incase Dwight isn't ready for the start of the year and has to work his way back into game shape
I think the lakers are done making moves though

Honestly... I don't like it for either team. Pau's offensive polish and length will mesh well with Howard's defense and athleticism. The Lakers have a prime frontcourt as it is.
As for the Hawks, they're in a sort of rebuild. No point in acquiring a 32-year-old that was never quite good enough to lead a real winner on his own.
