The talent is there to wreck havoc in the playoffs, but they won't go anywhere unless 'Melo and Amare become better leaders e.g. making the extra pass, playing defense, being accountable for the team's failures, etc. I don't know if Amare's got it in him, but 'Melo has the talent and history that shows he can be a leader; it's just a matter of doing it.

Don't speak out of your ass. That's exactly what they've been doing lately, Melo's actually been an excellent passer and a solid defender all season long but its only getting recognized now for some reason ..

knicks need to end this season like they are an elite team for me to believe in them. i'm kind of doubting this is their year. it's unfortunate because they're going to have a hard time holding onto some of the talent (j.r., da gawd novak, davis, jeffries), but melo and amar'e have been taking to long to get into their grooves, and the coaching situation has been bad. woodson isn't horrible, but I doubt he's the guy to get it done.
